At My Path ABA in Tempe, Arizona, we strive to make therapy as accessible as possible. Below is a list of the insurance plans we currently accept or are working to accept — if you don’t see your plan listed, please contact our benefits team, and we’ll verify eligibility and see how we can help.

How Insurance and Billing Works

1. Benefits Verification & Authorization

Once you contact us, our billing team will verify your child’s insurance coverage (ABA, speech, OT), check deductibles/coinsurance/copays, and determine if prior authorization is required.

2. Treatment Planning & Estimate

We’ll review the clinical assessment, design a treatment plan tailored to your child, and provide you with an estimate of your responsible cost (if any) and expected timeline.

3. Regular Monitoring & Support

We submit insurance claims on your behalf. If your child’s plan requires reauthorization or progress reporting, we coordinate these steps so therapy remains uninterrupted.

4. Out-of-Network / Self-Pay Options

If your plan is not in-network, we can explore out-of-network benefits, Single Case Agreements (SCAs), or private pay options. We also provide superbills for you to submit to your insurance plan directly.

  • A: Verification usually takes 1-3 business days after we receive your insurance information and any required documentation.

  • A: Yes — when medically necessary and authorized by your health plan, ABA therapy is covered under AHCCCS. We help you navigate authorizations with plans such as Mercy Care, UnitedHealthcare Community Plan, Banner-UFC, and Arizona Complete Health.

  • A: Absolutely. We support families enrolled in TRICARE’s Comprehensive Autism Care Demonstration (ACD) and will coordinate with the regional contractor for authorizations.

  • A: If your insurance plan isn’t listed above, please contact us. We’ll verify your benefits and help determine whether your plan offers out-of-network coverage or if a private-pay option might be appropriate.

  • A: Please bring your child’s insurance card (front & back), any diagnostic report (if available), and any referral paperwork your plan requires. If a diagnosis hasn’t yet been obtained, we’ll guide you through next steps.
